Multiswitch Guide: Explained very well

It is a kind of traffic system for satellite TV signals. Multiswitch was born because of the needs of the early days of satellite television, and they still exist today. Although they are often built into the dish, every modern satellite TV has one. Let’s look at this modern miracle and how it is done. More than just a divider
Multiswitch is more than just a divider, although it is essentially a divider. The purpose of the Multiswitch is to allow more outlines of dishes than designed and enable more programs available than possible with simple satellite reception.

Separate signal
In the early days of satellite, you put one dish and direct it, and that’s all you do. However, people want more. They want hundreds and thousands of channels. It will take up a lot of space in the electromagnetic spectrum, more than allocated for satellite TV. Something must be done.

The answer is “polarization.” Polarization places two different signals at the same frequency so that someone does not interfere with the others. This is a straightforward way to view polarization: Red signal to the left and right. The blue one rises and falls. So they don’t interfere with each other.

You can choose between two different signals simultaneously by sudden polarisation, but you then have problems. You have two types of signs that fall. If you use an easy splitter, you get red or blue one or another. Polarization only functions in the open air and not above the cable.

So, satellite manufacturers appear with one set of switching signals involving voltage and frequency to allow you to choose between two calls from the same satellite and some satellites. (That’s a topic for other articles.)

The purpose of multiswitch is to find out which signal is really -wanted and only place the one on the phone. If you have six rows (commonly on satellite TV), you can have 8, 16, or even more lines. Each of them only has one type of signal.

Multiswitches single wire
Single-wire Multiswitch is an advancement in multiswitch technology designed to make installation easier. With a traditional multiswitch, you need one cable for each recipient walking to the multiswitch. Since you cannot use splitters with standard multi switches, it doesn’t matter if you are already had a line close by.

Multiswitch single (SWM) fix it. It is a kind of cross between multiswitch and modulator. Instead of just placing one signal on each outflow cable, SWM can install up to 21 different signs on the same line. It is done by setting the frequency range for each recipient, known as the “SWM channel.” Whatever content is requested, which signal is needed for the recipient, runs on the SWM channel. This means you can use a splitter to send media to other recipients, and it will only attract other SWM channels.

Which multiswitch is right for you?
In general there is usually only one multiswitch option for most US customers. DirectV customers will use SWM DirectV from several RTs, while Dish customers will use one of the two Multiswitch DP variants.
